Hi Brian,
The perspective comes from the wires. It's nice to see how they enter the top of the picture and how they dissapear in the landscape. In other words: you have chosen a good point of view in my opinion. The landscape is very empty so the sky gets a lot of attention and it deserves that too... it's threatening. The wires makes you look up to the sky. In fact the sky is the maintheme of the picture.
