[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was playing about with my reversing ring for the 18-55 kit lens I have, I tend not to use the lens as the quality is not great compared to my 2.8, but with the reversing ring things get interesting. I caught this hoverfly ( not sure if thats it right name) at the sun flowers in my garden, its only about 5mm long so not a big insect. I have slightly sharpened the shot but that was all then saved for web. any advice would be welcomed to get this right.

A reversing ring is a simple ring that attached to the filter thread of a lens and it has normal camera mount on the other side which allows you to fit the lens to your camera the wrong way round, (Ie filter end tight to the camera) this gives huge magnification but no control over stops and focusing is a nightmare, but sometimes a good result pops out.

Long time no see, a real stunning macro here though.

Just a pity you haven't bitten the bullet and gotten a decent make of camera :-)
