[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the courthouse, and at one time the police station, in Selkirk the library opposite used to be the Jail and there was a tunnel from one to the other, the entrance door is still visible. Every time I tried to take a shot of this building I failed miserably but this day I got lucky. It wasn't until I got home that the harr was noticed it covered all of the valley below like a carpet.

I added a border re-sized sharpened and uploaded to tl from pspx1.

All c and c's are welcome.

Hi Jon

Nice shot of the courthouse, pity about the lampost on the right but I know how difficult it is to take this shot due to the way the pavement curves round.
The harr looks like loch has flooded Bannerfield.
Like the low light on the courthouse.

Hi Jon,
Great shot of the courthouse nice detail of typical Scottish architecture, presumaby the harr is a mist covering the valley floor? This shot would have been so much better if you had managed to move round to get the lamp out of the way or good use of cloning to remove it imo but that is just me. Great shot. Cheers
Bri

What in the world is harr? I can only assume that it's fog??? You folks have some interesting words :)
This is really nice Jon. Love the way the late day light is hitting that old building... great rich, warm colors in the brick. Sharp as a tack too! Nice job.
Have a nice weekend Jonny

Hi Jon,
just love that architectural design,so prominent in Scottish buildings. I really like your capture of the sunrays on the building covering it in a blanket of warmth. I forget, does harr mean fog:)

Have a good WE!

Hi Jon,
Very nice shot, the sharpness and exposure both look excellent. Sensible choice for the POV, looks like your persistence paid off. A great time of the day to be out shooting, well done.

TFS,
Scott.

Serendipidy Jon re the harr. Its nioce to see the scotish architecture with the stepped roof and round turrets - also the houses further down (formerly council houses?) The late afternoon sun adds considerably to this shot and the harr of course which resembles a loch. Infortunate about the street lamp - they do put them in the most awkward places :-) TFS
warm regards
David
