[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is Portmore Loch used mainly for fishing it was 1/2 mile from the road and we just looking for somewhere to get a decent shot. So I and Derona trekked up the path and started taking pics not in the best light as you can see. The lighting conditions had started good but then got worse all the time we were at the loch so we went to Peebles where it turned out to be better. This shot was taken from what is a run off area to keep the water levels correct.
I seem to have lost my exif details but I think I had the camera at F16 and in hind sight it should have been lower not sure of shutter speeds.

Shot in raw added border re-sized and sharpened before uploading to tl from pspx1.

All c and c's welcome.

Forgive me Jon, but the image seems blurry, there is lack of sharpness. I suspect that the pp workflow and/or sharpening technique you used may have been the culprit. I have tried doing a WS using Luko's technique of sharpening but it did not result in an improvement. If you can post the original in the WS, it would be a good opportunity to assess my observation.

On the plus side, the composition is classic. There is sufficient details on the f/g from the vegetation, the curve of the water is emphasized, and the well defined clouds drape the scene quite well.

Best regards,
Danilo

Hi,
Excellent photo with lots of different colours and 'textures'.Take care Ana:)

Hi Jon

Great POV and nice composition, wonder how you found that?
But what happened to the focus here, shame cause it could have been a very nice shot.

Hi Jon,
Not up to your usual good standard with focusing, as Danilo has tried to sharpen and failed you could try some pp work and use textures as I think this would look brilliant done like an oil painting on canvas. Again as noted the composition is classic and the whole image is in use i.e. no blocks of large colour to distract the eye It is a shame that you did not lower the shutter speed as you sugested or used a tripod but this is an image that is worth spending the time on to improve.
Cheers
Bri

definitley not your best post Jon grt pov but very blurred not like you think your choice of f16 maybe caused it f16 is good in realy sunny days but looks like it was a bit overcast

Hi Jon,
no need to repeat what others have already noted,I will mention, that due to this image being an HDR I take it you took more than one capture,& you had some movement while taking the others,so there could be a good chance that one may be in focus & worth reposting, as you have captured the scene with a strong & interesting composition.

Ron
