[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is at the start of what is a lovely walk, no more than ten minutes from my house, the Briglands, the road that goes to the right is to Broomhill Farm and stables. The Briglands is a very popular walk and before the advent of the A7 it was the main road to the north from Selkirk. During the Napoleonic war French POW Officers were allowed to walk so far into the countryside, on their parole, and on this road it is marked by a bush.

shot in raw converted to 4 hdr images and merged in photomatix then re-sized and uploaded in pspx1.

All c and c's welcome.

Hi Jon,
Nice historical mander through the countryside, the blue sky is a bit to blue for me, but it is a good shot of the road. Had you not explained what it was I would be a bit bewildwered why you were picturing a telegraph pole, but I seem to remember a shot of a particularly attractive looking telephone pole I took a couple of years ago.... Good perspective and framing. Cheers
Bri

Lovely blue sky - nicely focused and sharp !!! really impressive

I also like the POV of this shot ...

in my humble openion i think its slightly dull near the road i may be wrong as i m just a beginner and am learning my self

But great work sir =)

Hi Jon,
Nice POV to capture the various directions of the road, the clouds look very defined here. Personally I think the sky is a bit oversaturated (it sure does make for an eye-catching thumbnail though! Lol). Great clarity and DOF however, the subtle HDR treatment has worked well. Really good to see more and more people getting into HDRs lately, just be careful - it's addictive :).

TFS,
Scott.

It is a good question Jon.
Beautiful weather condition.
Fresh colours.

Hello Jon,
what a depth, and such a blue sky! Maybe a bit too dark, hiding some particular, but very well realized. If you didn't use a tripod, you have a strong hand...I had taken a passion for HDR, but I'm learning when it is possible and when itsn't.
Ciao, Elena
