I thought I would add this shot from my archives, Lindean Loch is a good walk outside Selkirk mostly uphill and is close to the TV mast that covers the area. This is a shot taken at the beginning of the walk that encircles the the loch the sun is beginning to move into direct view. The plastic pipes in the fg are for to protect young saplings from being eaten by deer.

Shot in raw added a border re-sized used the burning tool to get rid of some oe, sharpened and uploaded to TL from PSPX1.

All c and c's are welcome.

TFS and cheers,

Won't be too long now, will it, Jon??
That's such a quiet and peaceful looking scene. It reminds me of a winter painting. Great wide view, excellent light and shadow, nice soft blue sky. I like the contrast of the warm colored grasses in the FG, too. Really pretty place. Many thanks and kindest wishes,
Shelly

There is a beauty with each of the seasons and you have the serenity and stillness of the winter landscape. Nice composition with interesting fg bg and midground. The lighting is also very nice no doubt as a result of the shorter days. I am glad to know this is from your archives and snow hasnt arived yet ;-)
warm regards
David

Hi Jon,
Great shot , It is like a fine watercolour on a Christmas card....but its still summer! Great colours and the burn tool certainly done the trick on the OE, you wouldn't be able to tell you used it. Well done. TFS
Bri

Hi Jon,
Very cold looking shot, the exposure is great - Seems like you've dealt with any OE very efficiently. Did you use topaz adjust here by any chance? Has quite a 'raw' feel to it. I may have cropped slightly more off the left to get rid of the post entering the frame, the details look impressively sharp however.

TFS,
Scott.

dear Jon,
this cool(cold) feeling is nice for me, still hot early autumn here.
clearly contrasted lighted white and every shadows make vivid ice world.
I forgot this feeling in winter, but this your shot reminds me of the touch sensation of winter wind actually.
thank you for your cool shot,
Akihisa

I missed this Jon.. I like the high contrast a lot - really gritty!! Nice compo too. All I can add is well done here - nice work.
