[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This shot was taken a few weeks ago on a trip up to Peebles with fellow TL member Jonela.
Trying out some different PP work, converted this to B&W and then used Color Efex Pro Color Stylizer to try to age the shot a bit.
Added a border in PSP.

Not too sure of the result, would be interested in your comments.

Hi Derek,

Excelent PP work! The sky is beautiful and perfectly neat. Great lighting and sharp details. The colour and contrast is perfect! Very well done.

TFS Greetings Simone

Oh I love the moodiness here Derek! Almost perfect for the approaching Halloween holiday! Love the processing, really super sharp!

Hi Derek,

I like black and white images but am not sure of this although you have meant to age it I think it is to glossy imho. That aside there is a beautiful clarity to this shot the clouds look very fluffy, the details are very sharp but too dark imo.

Regards
Jon

hi derek.
i like the pp work. color stylizer can be very effective as this image proves.
it does, however, blow the highlights in the main cloud.
a small point that does not detract too much from admiring the scene.

Boa noite Derek
Not only a fantastic composition as a great b/w photo. Some drama and not just a good photo. congratulations.

Works well for me, derek, a nice wee reminder of home!

Lovely smoothness on the sky and clouds, contrasting with the rugged castle itself. Love the tones throughout the shot. My onlu suggestion would be a crop from top and left to make the cadtle maybe a little more prominent in the scene. But overall a quality image - could see this framed.

The sky looks great - nice effect here. Overall I find the shot a little dark although the high contrast works well with such a scene. Nice composition - classic yet effective.

Hello Derek,

An excellent vertical framing and black and white.
The sky is beautiful with all its clouds, black and white creates a very specific atmosphere to your work.
Very good work anyway.
Good day.
john
