I was at the wedding of a friend that I used to work with and his intended with my wife of course and we had this young lass as one of our companions. The day was great meeting old and new friends, I was quite unrecognizable wearing a suit but enough of my tortures :). I have never tried to take a portrait of anyone other than family before but had the chance to so I did hope you like it.

I really need for the critiques to be constructive on this as I would like to pursue this more so the more tip the better.

Cropped slightly cloned out a light changed to b&w then to sepia re-sized then uploaded to tl.

Hi Jon ,
Border lass is a bonny lass right enough, good work on the B&W with tint - I think it always works well, beautiful focus on the eyes and great framing, imo I may have not cut so high and shown all of the necklace but that is only mo. Brilliant shot - you are giving us mnore reasons to cross the border Jon! TFS

dear Jon,
her necklace looks a little too vivid than her smiling face, and her neck is a little too white than her whole face.
maybe those are caused by the flash directly fired,
in my thinking, changing direction of flash, or covering flash with thin cloth, the feeling of image would improve...
anyway,
her precious smiling is well captured and the atmosphere there is well expressed.
thank you for your wonderful portrait shot,
Akihisa
