this is a shot of one of the most visited spots near Selkirk, well 18 miles away there are two lochs virtually joined one is St Marys and the other is the loch of the Lowes where in the summer the poeple from all round flock to for picnics ,barbi,s ands just a real chill out took this when out with Jonela ,and Don thought bout cloning the rock out but then thought it blended in well used a slight skylight filter to boost the sky a little shot in raw and resized ty for looking

Hi Bryan,

Very nice capture Bryan, and very good PP work.
I think the horizon is a bit tilted, created a workhop hope you like it.

Ramon

Waw..what a beauty!
Great colors, lovely details, great shot!

Hello, Bryan.

A very nice picture but I have to agree with Ramon - there is a tilt on the horizon.

Before I saw Ramon's workshop, I had done one of my own which I'm going to upload. I've straightened the horizon, cropped it (that was necessary after straightening) to put the horizon at the junction of the middle and bottom thirds, cloned out a couple of sensor dust spots in the sky, reduced the saturation a little and lightened the darkest bits. See what you think - I hope you're not offended by my efforts!

Kind Regards,

John.

Hello Bryan.

Well presented view .... the only thing is ... is not straight. If it was your inention is fine ;)
I like your idea with natural frame here.
Best Regards.

Hi Bryan,

Tsk Tsk you were told tae stop the drinking when you had the camera in hand lol yup a nice tilt on this one pal. The colours the filter has boosted the sky nicely details are sharp and that is a lovely pov.

Regards
Jon

In 2 minds about this one Bryan I am not going to say what everyone else has about your sloping horizon ;-0 (was it too much Scotch?) I am not a huge fan of hdr unless it looks natural(some would therfore think that theres no point in doing hdr in that case ;-0)the colours are pretty but I dont think that we can improve on nature
warm regards
David

Hi Bryan,
Good shot apart from the level but I think that has been mentioned, a little under exposed on my monitor but that may be the monitor. Great fg colours and PoV. TFS
Bri

Bryan, good decision about NOT cloning the rock out. It adds to the perspective of this great scenery shot. You did well in all areas of taking the photo and making the presentation of it here on TrekLens. Good job!

Hi bryan

Missed this one. A wonderful reflected blue skylight off the lake. I would rotate clockwise so that the horizon is level. Good sharpness & saturation. Tfs!
