[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Recentley i uploaded a couple of shot from the River ettrick this shot was taken aprox 100metres from thes shots this is a shot of a salmon heading up river a the morris cauld near Selkirk it meets with many obstacles on it way to the spwaning ground i always think that it is a fantastic sight to see i took a few shots and will upload another two this week to show the power of these magical fish ty for looking these shots were taken after there had been a cuople of days heavyrain so was not able to get to close to the bank

Hi bryan

A good decisive moment shot, capturing the leaping salmon. I'd be tempted to crop much tighter, so that there's more fish, and less water. Tfs!

We get these (and Sea trout) up the Esk here too.
I've tried to catch them on camera especially at one point they have to swim across a road at a ford and it's often only just deep enough!
They are so fast it's very hard to get a decent shot like you hope for.

you really use a much longer lens and a tripod for a shot like this Considering its handheld its pretty good TFS
