[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A summer evening on the Isle of Lewis, looking West from Breasclete (I believe I may have incorrectly said South in my last picture). This time I took ten exposures and stitched them together with Hugin. The stitching and blending didn't work quite as well as it sometimes does, and there some artifacts and jagged lines visible on the full size image. But scaling it down got rid of that.

The stitched image was rotated and cropped. I then played with the curves to bring the best out of the sky and clouds which were the best part of the picture. However, this made the already dim foreground virtually black and I decided to crop again, so as not to have a huge black space at the front. I then added the frame for the sake of the Treklens required dimensions, and aesthetics.

The name is a butchery of the Gaelic language, of which I know nothing. The hills in the picture, so far as I can tell from a map, are likely to be Suaineabhal, Mealaisbhal, Tahabhal and Teinneasabhal. Hence the "Four Bhals". My apologies to Gaelic speakers for my crude abuse of the language!

Anyway, when the rain stops, the wind dies down and the sun shines, this is what I get to look at from the kitchen window. Ain't it neat!!
