| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I am going through my library for the first time in a long time and I came across this tonight. The shot is taken from the Pentland Road just at the entrance to Breasclete, on Lewis. The view is a telephoto across the landscape, looking roughly SSW. It is a bit of an homage to the beautiful landscape photographs that show ridge after ridge, stretching into the distance.
Developed raw file to colour tiff.
Converted to monochrome using channel mixer, favouring green.
Applied a curve to increase contrast between the successive ridges.
Applied cyan colour cast.
Sharpened. |

David,
Great shot and great processing. You may want to add a white frame to it.
Cheers,
Wellington

Nice contrasting colors... the different layers give this composition a very good effect, very attractive to the eye. Nice!

Hi David,I really like your processing work, well thought out & executed. I like the gradual move from the dark of the foreground in staged degrees of lighter tones leading us through to the sky in the background, strong moody image. Can you show us the original in a WS? just to compare the impact your changes gave to this image.
Regards
Ron

Perfect layers, like to see it on a wall to feel like being inmidst.. :)
Is it a farm, down there, after the first hill?
Love it..
Cheers,
