Hello everyone,
This was taken near Dolgellau in North Wales, I can't remember where exactly. I took it without a tripod in failing light, by balancing my camera on a rock and leaving the shutter open long enough to 'smooth out' the water. I know it's a bit of a cliche, but I rather like the effect.
I've sharpened it and increased the saturation a little, and resized it for upload.
Cheers, John. |

Hi John,
Nice shot, not bad sharpness for handhels with the help of a stone, nice colours and POV though I and not sure about the bush in the righthand foreground, there is a nice depth to the woods and I like the light.
Tfs Andy

Hello John,
Under such difficult conditions, you made a fine job!
I also love the silky effect on the water! It is a lovely detailed shot with excellent composition!
Kind regards,
Bev :-)
Hi John,
Perrfect shutter speed been trying too do this myself lately without much succsess maily because I am too lazy to take my tripod! I would get rid of the grass in the foreground to improve it but all else is good.
Cheers
Tom
Hi John,
Very cool picuture. I like the colors. I think you are more focused on the blade of grass in the front but I still really like the picture. TFS
