"The society which scorns excellence in plumbing as a humble activity and tolerates shoddiness in philosophy because it is an exaulted activity will have neither good plumbing nor good philosophy...neither its pipes nor its theories will hold water". John Gardiner 1912-2002
This is some type of water pump I guess. The photgraph was taken through a very dirty window at the pump house featured in biblio's post yesterdayclick here. It sprayed water every 5 - 10 seconds. I managed to get 3 shots but this was the best.
The pump house was built around 1895 and the pumping station started work in 1904.The pumping house is closed to the public but the water is still pumped out of the dam.
No pp work - small frame and resized. |

Nice capture of the water and some interesting lighting here.

Hi Lesley!
Great stop action capture with excellent framing...I would not have known that you shot this through a dirty window!
Excellent!
