A Standing stone in the National Park, the Park is 519 square miles (1344 sq. km) in size and stretches 40 miles (65km) from east to west. There are four mountain ranges within the park. Near the border with England are the Black Mountains, Next lie the Brecon Beacons, then the Fforest Fawr and, in the far west, the wilderness of Black Mountain. The two highest peaks in southern Britain are located in the Park. Remnants of chambered long cairns dotting the valleys attest to man's long habitation in the area. Mysterious standing stones hide in the mountains,.they could possibly be a territorial marker or it could mark an ancient trackway, guiding travellers across the moors no0body really knows.

Hi Chris,
The sky looks amazing here; I like your idea to capture this stone while most of us ignore this. The whole scene is very nice. Well done.

Interesting document. Probably it's a territorial marker, as you suppose, from neolithic. Maybe I'd like some object next to the stone in order to have an idea of its size, but probably is 1 meter high.

I like the composition and blue sky is lovely.
