[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Lake Vyrnwy was created in 1888 when work on a dam to supply water to Liverpool was finally completed. The old village of Llanwddyn disappeared under the waters but when the level drops during dry summer, you can see the ruins of the buildings.

Hi Barry, Good POV of this stone dam. Very good clarity to show the texture of the blocks so well. I keep hearing how beautiful wales is from my sister in law, now here you are providing some evidence. Well shown. Murray.

Beautiful view Barry, with a very nice shooting angle. well done. very refreshing in this hot summer.

Hi Barry,
What a beatifully constructed dam, so much better then the modern concrete versions. Your POV is very good, with the top of the dam leading th viewer toward the other side and the trees. The patch of grass and fence add depth. The fall colors are well exposed.
TFS,
Niek

The workmanship on the brickwork looks great, so much better than the multi-million pours of concrete that the new damns have.
Great angle shot Barry, and the details and colours are all quite ourstanding. Well done.
But it is so sad when you hear of the homes and properties that are sacrificed for these damns. Progress!!

Beautiful perspective and nice details Barry. Nice palette of greens in the background.
Well done!

I didn't realize Wales would have any woods left after all these centuries. I'm related to Princess Di about eight generations back (Spencer's) so this was particularly wonderful for me.

hi Barry, excelent shot of this old bridge. You have a lot of pictures for TE. But you are not on it, uI think no photos. Shame, becouse it is page for photos like this.
