Very nice Jeff. I like the selective colour. I may have cropped a little off the right side. Still a pleasure to view.

Hello Jeff,
Good colour effect with the match against B&W.
Good work.

A lovely view in BW with just a touch of colour...which makes all the difference.
Congratulations Jeff !

This is very good, B/W and the flame in color. Good work.

Great photo with superb focus depth. The effect of colour pass is used in right place and makes the picture better (which is not always true with effects). Thanks for sharing.

Hi Jeff
Interesting portrait photo, this. My take on it:
1) I love the colored flame. Itīs an interesting touch to the composition, but why I like it the most is because itīs not an element that steals all your attention when viewing the photo.
2) Itīs an interesteing POV, but I think I would have liked it slightly better if I could have seen just a bit more of his face, and his expressions while lighting the pipe. Still, I think itīs a creative POV none the less.
3) Sarah171 mentiones cropping, and I think that might be a good idea. In regards to the flame, itīs a bit centered (not that I care too much about those rules), and I think that in this image, it would look better if it was more to the side. I agree with her take on some cropping on the right side.
4) Youīve got a pretty good bokeh on the background, but the stone fence behind your subject lacks sharpness. I would have liked this photo better if also the fence came out sharp.
5) A little bit related to the previous point. Though your subject is sharp enough for me, I would also have liked the contrasts to be a bit stronger.
Thatīs it. Hope my comments help, and TFS :)

Magnificent photograph!! I would have loved to see it all in b/w and not with the selective desaturation. Still, I really love this one -- life as it is.
