[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Once again after a very pleasant weekend (when I was working), the weather in Scotland has taken a turn for the worse and it is again dark and wet and windy.

So, I am uploading a picture I took in July when we visited Swansea to attend my daughter's graduation. Nothing special about this picture - it was taken from the window of our hotel room looking north towards the Swansea hills - but I liked the evening light on the clocktower and other buildings as well as the fine summer sky above the hills.

Another reason for posting this is that it is a clue to the content of the picture I intend to upload for Helen's theme, "Under", later this week. I shall say no more. B***er all, in fact.

Picture shot in RAW and, as usual nowadays, converted and edited in PSE6.

Hello John,

The foreshortening brought about by the 200mm lens has brought the Welsh hills right into the city.

The massive clock tower is well placed, and the repetition of the sharp triangles of the gable ends of the roofs makes a neat contrast with the softness of those distant hills.

Fine understated colours and your usual well judged sharpness.

I always thought the initials DT were very suitable for a poet who was finished off by the bottle.

Yours in anticipation,

Peter.

Congratulations to your daughter on her graduation.

Hi John

Good composition with the clock tower being so prominent in the foreground and the hills in the background.
TFS
