Hi,
Another from the visit to Llangollen near Wrexham in North east Wales in May of this year. This is a view of the Llangollen railway station, a line that operates steam locos.
Llangollen Railway is probably the UK’s most scenic railway, running East/West along the River Dee in North Wales from Llangollen Station, located on the North Bank of the Dee just below the famous Llangollen Bridge, up the hill to Llangollen Goods Junction where the connections for the Engine Shed and Carriage Workshop join the main line. Then over the River Bridge on to the South Bank and onwards to Berwyn Station.
From Berwyn Station through Berwyn Tunnel to Deeside Halt, then over the level crossing into Glyndyfrdwy Station.
Leaving Glyndyfrdwy Station, past the relocated Barmouth Signal Box, past Owain Glyndwr’s Mount and into Carrog Station, the present end of the line.
This is the view from the main bridge over the River Dee, in Llangollen, looking into the station.
Hope you like the view,
take care,
John |

Good image, lots going on in there... good colours and a very good focus - quite an impressive lens to get so much in the scene. It looks a bit misty over the hills... tfs, regards h
Line + color = atmosphere. I like the way the train tracks dip into the distance, and the way that elegant building in the back ground counters that curious mechanism in the foreground, which has such personality.
Hola John.
Buenos detalles y acertada exposición.
Estupendo colorido.
Buen comentario.
Saludos, JL.
