Summit of Tryfan, Snowdonia, at 1;15pm Sunday 3 August. Doug and I were the third and fourth people to the top that day, arriving at 12:55. After jumping Adam and Eve (the two large rocks in the background) and then opening our flask and having a bite of chocolate, we turned around from watching the rescue helicopter that was practising about 30m below us (that close we could almost see the pilots eyes)to notice that we had been joined by upwards of 35 people all scrambling around! By 1:30 the number had grown to about 50!
I like this shot because everyone looks to be in their own little world, all doing something different and with different things in their mind.
I tweaked the sky a little to take it from an almost flat grey to a least slightly blue.... |

Hi Gary,
I reconised those rocks before I even opened it up to read your notes. I have been up there a couple of times but have to say I cheated and went via the train. I was only 6 the first time, and about 30 the last time I went up there, the site when you get up there is fantastic if the weather permits you to see. I know sometimes you cant even see these rocks for the mist when your up there.
I have tried to walk the whole way but had to give up as had a chest infection and I was about half way up when I found breathing just to difficult to continue.
Hope you had a good time and took full advantage of the views when walking up there.
Nice detailed pic.
TFS brings back memorys.
