......Cockney rhyming slang for stairs!
I noticed the depth of colours when they were in a glass bowl near to the kitchen window.
I liked the curved lines of the glass and how the colours were reflected so I set them up for a macro shot on a black background.
I cropped the photo and used unsharp mask and adjusted the contrast +10 in PS.

Bien réussit cette nature morte, les couleurs sont riches, la lumière est bien utilisé, on a le gout d'y gouter. Beau travail

Very interesting photo, I loved the vivid colors of the fruits against the black background. Very good.
I just miss the lower tip of the red pear in the base of the image ... but it´s a minor problem.

Hope I won't stumble on my loaf when going down the apples... should be the only two words I know in Rhyming slang, it should be one of the most difficult languages to speak...

Andy, as for your shot I think the lighting is too frontal, it lacks a bit of shadows and contrast on the fruit. when taking that kind of shot it's better to have a side light and shoot it in low key dark tones. Do you remember those dutch painters stills?

Well done, colors and details really makes these pears look very juicy and sweet. I do agree that a less direct light might have produced some interesting shadows.

Very beautiful picture ! The pears have beautiful colors !
Congratulations !

I like this in your face presentation. The thumbnail is very inviting - because of the contrasts - black and vivid yellows and oranges. The full picture I think lacks defined shadows ... but you are in the right track.

I like the photo bu i agree with Luko, i think the lighting is too frontal, it lacks a bit of shadows and contrast on the fruit. Try to make another shot from another angle and with another light source.

I like this picture.
Lately, I've learnt that Unsharp Mask should be done latest, and like to share this with you.
And I think you have overdone the USM a little bit. This has created some white areas...
Anyway, I'd also like to eat one of your apples right away ;)
