I really like the halo that is sometimes made by the moon light in the clouds, some how i don't expect colour to be produced by moon light.

Tech: taken on full zoom (108mm equiv), 1 stop under exposed, cropped, small USM, saved for web.

Looks like your namesake - "Midnight Sun". Fantastic detail on the moon Bryan, with an interesting halo. I love these scenes too. I have seen them many times on the beach while fishing under the full moon. I will try this when I have a better camera :-))) I'd like to try something with WS... (Itchy fingers!).

so delicate and simple and yet moving.
this picture is really very beautiful.
thanks for having posted it, Bryan.

Midnight_sun posting a shot of the moon ;-) And a quite amazing one at that. Great capture here, Bryan, I've made some feeble attempts doing something similar but they came out, well, feeble. I like how much of your frame is darkness, and how around the moon there are those hues of blue, brown, gray. Very well captured.

a moon sunset, and midnight sun, very well captured and great colors. Did you use a tripod?
Well done, Bryan.

It is always interesting to discover the influences that lead to usernames selected by TE/TL members.Need we guess anymore??:-)
I like how the moon is well off centre to offer contrasting sides.

Great colors tones you capture, Bryan.

Well done

Very simple, but also effective. The dark mood thrives here! Nice, brooding image.

beautiful shot Bryan, i feel the mood in your picture. well done!

Always magic this kind of shots...love the mood given by the surronding clouds and the positioning of the moon. Well done Bryan!

Very nice ! great color and ambiance ! Well done !

Wonderful that effect, looks like an eye. The colors are amazing, maybe I would just give a bit more contrast, but is just my POV.

Congrats

Marco
