[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The artiste has thrown out my other photographic personna, the photojournalist, and is posting today, a self portrait with a twist (and Kit, she is PROUD of that nose - has CHARACTER). How'd she do it? Well, the elevator at the Hotel Thistle Kensington Gardens was wonderously mirrored, an opportunity for a self portrait just waiting to happen, reflections of reflections. But the elevator lighting wasn't good, the elevator power seemed to be operated by caged squirrel power, slow and bumpy, leaving technical problems to be overcome by the power of Photoshop. So I offer you - the woman in the red hat! The artiste is ready to accept plaudits, or thrown vegetables (she'll eat them for lunch).

ISO 1600, focal length 39.0 mm, cropped, adjusted curves, HPP posterized, film grain, framed (I think that's all I did, not necessarily in that order and some of them I did over a couple of times)

Inspiring. The image pushes me to take a 1st, 2nd and 3rd look to understand what I am seeing. Technique takes the back seat here. This is art.

yes the powerful red dominates here.good . the subject here are theat nose and the chin.

cant agree with frame as u used the dominatin colours in the pic for framing.

post processing is fine bcoz u had taken it in 1600 ISO.

Hello Lois, this is art my friend and very well done. You had a great idea to take this kind of photo and to do the pp work the way you did it! It turned out so great!

Very well done :) Have a great day! Yan :)

Heyyyy, very cool, Lois! Primary colors. I love your red hat, and it's nice to sort of see you! ;)

I like the PS effects. Reminds me once again of the Red Hat Society, although I know it's not...

Cute, as was your note, also!

Gayle :)

Tell me more about The Red Hat Society!!!
This is creative and gives us further insight into an Aquiline Probiscis Society member on a day out in the Hall of Mirrors.
Good opportunity taken and fiddled with at length to produce finished red art ...
I'm happy if you are.

You have so heavily PP it, that you are again invisible.
Except the nose.
The eye there, the nose here....one day we'll see the whole Lois!
