[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
My first shot here of my new series. This is the Eden Project captured earlier this year. There is too much to tell you about the place in this little note area, so I'll just post a link to the site if any of you would like to know more about it. If you look carefully, you get an idea of the scale of these "Biomes" as you can see a few people down there on the walkways
The Eden Project

PP = Cropped, levels, curves , smart sharpen and frame. I had to change the sky and also boost the saturation as it was a really dull rainy day.

Hi John,

Looks like something out of a science fiction movie... :)

Are those little green men walking around down there.. because this look the martians have landed(he he).. what a weird but intereting looking place... I have never seen such a sight... without going to the link first, I guess this is some sort of garden centre? I wonder if I am correct...
Lovely sharp photo John..nicely presented as usual.

Thank you
Kindest regards to you
Dawn.

p.s. John Just came back in to say: after looking at the link.. "what a fantastic place".. a place to become aware, and to learn..about nature.. and the enviroment. thank you for directing us there..:-)

I think it's very cool -- the photo that is... I'm in the process of reading the webpage from your link, but the project is uplifting as well it seems.

I think that the PP you did to get it here is great. I really like the soft lighting on the top of the domes. I'm torn between saying it looks like some bubble wrap squirting thru the earth's surface or if the earth has sprung a wart or blister! :-)

I have an idea, that maybe you could try reposting as a workshop??? I'd do it, but I'm far from even an amateur PP'er. Mostly auto-adjusts here! Anyway, is it possible to take a photo of like your thumb against a plain background and lay it over this photo to make it look as if it's coming down to squash the domes? Or use the thumb and forefinger to give the impression that they're going to get a gentle squeeze?

The only thing I don't like (but apparently you worked under not so great conditions) is how the lower left corner of the photo is very dark and escapes into the frame, especially when the rest of the photo looks nicely exposed everywhere.

Hi John,

Beautiful presentation, I liked this
architecture, different.
What would be " do I Project Eden "?
I will await their new postage
we will know like this. Beautiful visual
Congratulations

Sérgio

The place must be huge John. I have read articles about this before but have never seen pictures. Wonderful perspective which emphasises just how large an area it covers. Good PP work to enhance the scene. TFS,
David
PS Many thanks for your comment on Mallard

The truth is out there!

It reminds me immediately the movie X-Files...... Remember the bee farms..... Image perfectly composed. Lovely light considering the uncooperative sky.

Thank you for the useful link.
Robert

FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello John,
Must be quite a challenge to photograph something as big as this..! So many considerations to be made... But I feel like you do most things right here! You convey the particulars very well to your audience, even I get a good impression of the place in one glance!
Well done!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Thats a great place, although never visited it.
Ive read lots about it, and seen pictures, and watched on Discovery and NG channels.

Nice view and good contrasting colours.

Well done.
Tom
