[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This photo combines a tricycle and a London scene, both themes I have been posting lately, so you have a two for one. This photo was taken from the double decker bus (again), as the baby minder cycled by us, making good time, not stopped by traffic as we were. Everyone was safely helmeted (as a DuPonter working for a company where safety is almost more important than making a profit, I approve). I laughed and took their photo.

I put the Poster Edges filter on this as the original photo was not emphatic enough for my taste, was all pastel and grey...

Afterthought and afterlook, this didn't import as crisply as it appears on my desktop, a disappointment. Haven't had that happen with poster edges before.

Exposure Mode Auto; Exposure Program Normal: ISO 400' Focal Length 53 mm; Focal Length in 35mm film 79 mm, Photoshop Poster Edges filter, framed.

Lois, the master of the poster edges! I really like how you use this to add more interest and texture- very nice capture- I don't think I've seen one of these tricycles except 1x in the philippines. Well Done Lois!

Best wishes,
Steve

Lois, I really enjoy these poster edge transformations you do! They were so nicely! Great subject, and composition. You are the best double-decker bus photographer I have ever seen! :0)

Yesterday, driving home from the office and with the camera tucked up at home, I saw the local (Philippines) version of this. The box was a steel bar box and attached to the right side of a regular bicycle. There were twelve kids standing in there and not a helmet to be seen BUT there were broad smiles on every one of them. In comparison, these kids look like tiny aristocrats being transported by tumbrell to the guillotine.
First rule - have the camera with one at all times!
Second rule - keep the eyes wide open
and you did BOTH here. Never miss an opportunity.
Despite glum countenances and serious driver, good content, nice background even. PP? Mmmmm - seen better from you. Ask Sans1 (will soon be promoted to sans2) how he got his 30's postcard effect?

Hi Lois - I like your PP work of a this snapshot. It takes the immediate everyday feel away and 'adds art', if one can say so. Very clear lines both in foreground and background. The tires of the tricycle compliment them well. A few dots of strong colours, mainly the helmets make the composition more interesting. So does the pink line on the ground. Thank you for sharing it with us. And for the note.
Cheers
Cordelia

Maybe this image is not as sharp as previously see on desktop but....it adds a cute sad pierrot doll look to the little child (with green helmut) in the side of the cart, very precious looking.
