And now a change of pace, another amazing museum, the Natural History Museum, the main hall of a vast Victorian-style Italian-Renaissance building, with a bony brachyosaurus looming over head, under marvelous and exuberent arches inspired by Fingal's Cave (Scotland) This museum opened in 1881 and now features over 78 million specimens in addition to more than one million books, artworks and manuscripts, and interactive exhibits such as an earthquake! Another wonderful place to photograph. Another place to go back to... For those of you who would like a photo showing more of the fabulous building, click here. This is timmiles view from the balcony looking back toward the entrance. I took my photo under the big arch just in front of the doors.

Isn't London just fabulous!? More places like this than you can cover in a flying visit and more inside each one than you can cover in one day. Extraordinary.
I have done dead fish, now a dead toad, and here we have a dead giraffe - in a magnificent building! The building interior alone is worth many different POV photographs but when you slide in a prehistoric beastie ...
Not an image to just glance at. One has to look for longer and, as is so often said, the more you look - the more you see.

Hi Lois,
A stunner. I wish that you did not include fossil and concentrate on the building - the arches. The foreground is a distraction from the lovely background.

Congratulations. That's a great picture. All the beauty created by Nature in contrast with all the beauty created by human being.
