With two massive magnolia trees in full bloom in my garden, can I be excused from posting an impression of some of the blossoms? Taken this evening, before sun went down.

Great photo Nina.

The details and colors are very good. It's well frame, too.

Well done

Nina - this is a great macro and impression of the magnolia. Very different angle. There is a bit of noise that you could probably clean up with NeatImage, but I like it. Like the frame too. Well done.

Beautiful rich colors, they kinda suck me into the picture. I think I would like to see more flower, but then maybe I don't. DOF could have been a bit deeper I think but still a pleasing image.

A great fresh feeling, nicely framed image. Maybe a bit oversharpned? It could be a little softer... But even though, just beautiful!
I expect you will be able to load more of your excellent Flora shots on TL.

Creative and attractive pix Nina. Delicate and well balanced colours in a very fine light setting. All included in a very well adopted framing

Lovely texture and tender colours, Nina! The tight framing works very well and outlines nicely the petals as details. Very well!

Hi Nina, good to see you around! This one is lovely! Great colours and perspective, and lovely combination of colours between the picture and the frame,

Well done!

I like a lot the way the picture is cropped, you can still see it is a magnolia, but it is the colours that come in focus in the picture. I added it to in my garden-theme.

Quelle chance d'avoir de si belles fleurs dans son jardin. La photo est superbe, j'aime beaucoup.
Which chance to have of so beautiful flowers in his garden. The photo is magnificent, I like very much.

One the other beautiful maro the secret of which you have. The gradations of pink are attractive and this touch of green adds to the impact. I feel that you go to enjoy yourselves on TL a lot.

Une autre belle maro dont vous avez le secret. Les dégradés de rose sont attrayants et cette touche de vert ajoute à l'impact. Je sens que vous allez vous amuser beaucoup sur TL.

Nina, I am speechless, this is a most beautiful shot, it looks like plumes of red and white smoke being blown upwards from the green stems.
A very dramatic picture indeed, lovely colours, excellent sharpness and detail, just look at the hair on those green stems.
Wow! it is a great shot.
PS. Thanks for rating my photos, coming from someone as skilled as you means a lot to us as novices, I will most certainly have a look at your photos on TE...Thanks!

This is an unusual (and very well done) way to present a flower. More than just a magnolia, you are succeeding in giving a movement, with the parallel edges leading to the top. Another feeling of movement is conveyed by the three side petals going top right in a curved fashion. Seen with some distance, these lines are forming a St Andrew's cross. No wonder why it works... it's VERY well conceived and framed.
