MX Flight

Some MX action from Northchapel, Sussex. Here I have captured a motocross bike in mid flight, gravity taking hold, and the rider getting ready for the landing.
This sort of photography has made for an interesting challenge. This throws most of the rules of circuit and road racing away with different panning techniques, a complete exposure nightmare and just the dust / mud getting everywhere on the camera equipment.

Another motocross session this weekend, and more experiments with some slower shutter speeds and hopefully (if I get paid) a nice new f2.8 lens to play with! |

Nice and sharp and well exposed with the peak of the action well captured.I would though have cropped out some of the track at the bottom as I feel it adds little to the overall shot
Amazing action shot. Very clear and sharp focus for something travelling at such speed. I like the simplicity of the shot, there is almost nothing to distract me, and the subject just fills the image. I also like the addition of the shadow at the bottom as it emphasises the height of the bike off the ground.
good shot.
