[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi, my first post on TL, here goes!

I suppose I'd better explain the title of the image first. The aim of this photo was to create a desktop image for my laptop. I went with blue for a colour and framed the splash to the right to leave space for icons on the left.

on the technical side: The colour is as taken, I used blue colour dye in water. I set a reasonable shutter speed, set the flash and then took loads of pictures till I got what I wanted. I used a straw to drop the water, dip, hold the end with the thumb and release when ready.

Pretty cool desktop image :)

Hi Paul this is a nice image i have tried these shots till they are coming out my ears and they are not easy to get focused as im sure you will agree, i normally use manual focus find my spot then drop lol, i love the colour choice, very nice cobalt blues very well done with this.

very nice composition and congratulations for a successful experiment. the choice of blue color is good. tfs.
