Reflections on the Millenium
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The Millennium Clock Tower is a massive culmination of human artistic achievement, created for the Scottish Millennium Festival to commemorate the human suffering of the twentieth century, embodied and entrapped within the endless prisons of time.
Ten metres high, the clock came to life on 1 January at 12 noon. It now chimes every hour following a 5-minute mechanical performance.
It is now housed at the Royal Museum in Edinburgh.
On the front of the clock is this mirror, in which you can see the reflection of the interior of the museum - the main hall off which the various galleries can be found.

Hi Richard - This certainly is an interesting clock you presenting here. I like the overall proportions and how the mirror reflects the interior of the bulding - and its visitors. Well done.
Cordelia :) :)
PS: Thank you for visiting my Provence photo with the wine glass.

Hi Richard, This is a creative view with a good description. The relection ofall the people looking at it is effective. Well shown. Murray.

this is something i really enjoy - amazing mirror-shot, richard! :-)
with a tight crop you could sell it as a tunnel. *g*
but what i really like is the skeleton above, looking at the people standing in front of the mirror.
i´ve been to edinburgh, but i unfortunately missed this great museum, next time then.
well seen & captured, thorsten.
Good POV! The clock really is an amazing creation. I might have cropped a tiny wee bit more off the LHS just so the mirror was totally central but great shot.
Hi Richard,
Great and sophiscated capture here.
Very good PPW also.
Bravo
