[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
These were taken on a very windy cliff top in Portloe, Cornwall, a truly beautiful village.

Ideally I wanted to post them on TN but didn't know the ID.

edit: 21/02/07 - Thanks to the BBC's Nature Watch I can ID my 'flower'. It is in fact Thrift. Unfortunately mine is past it's best as the flower should be purple.
Threepenny coins in the early 1940's had an image of the Thrift, which was quite appropriate at that time as people were heavily encouraged to cut down on spending (not that there was a great deal on offer...).
