There is a saying in the world of construction, when the need arrives to lift an object into place, and there is no means to do it, chances are some wag will say 'what with, sky hooks?'. Now I don't know if this is the true meaning of this sculpture, but it's my guess.
It is probably very familiar to thousands of people as it stands somewhere near Old Trafford, the stadium of Manchester United.
I love the humour in many pieces of modern art.
PP I used magic wand and bucket to give a plain backdrop. |

Hi Martin,
Nice image. Great composition and good POV. Nice contrast also. Well done.
Cheers,
Claire
Wonderfully simple, love the flat light sky as the background and the way the sculpture/art piece is slightly silhouetted, it's contours highlighted by sunlight coming from the right. Very lovely. Wonderful how the hook emerges from the bottom corner at an angle. Good thin frame to make it pop out. Excellent work, TFS!
