Here we see the front end of Concorde at Manchester Airports viewing gallery, this fast passenger jet is no longer in service after many many a long (quick) flight :) Unfortunate really as the aircraft still looks in tip top condition.
I suppose we should be grateful that this plane still exists for us to see and no doubt will be a popular history subject in years to come. People can still board the aircraft as there are tours most of the year round for interested partys and enthusiasts alike.

PP = Just cropped, levels/curves, gradient/overlay on the sky and sharpened a little.

Sad story.

Despite the tragedy, I find a bit strange the landed all the planes after the last accident. Numerous accidents happened with other planes, they were not scrppaed for that.

I love this nose and plasne shape, which apparently was inspired by the shape of our gannets !
Thanks for the souvenir.
Robert

Nice bright colours and sharp focus. I like the natural gradient on the sky.

excllent colors Bg POV DOF perfect details very crisp nicly composed and composed and captured photo well done

Good composition, saturated colours, clear & sharp shot. I like the way that the gradient/overlay (by that I mean the darker area at the top) helps balance out the image with the band of grass across the foreground.

Well done, Regards, Roger.

Well framed, good exposure; visual impact photo!

Very nice capture of this famous plane. Pity it doesn't operate anymore. Very good crisp image.

Hi John,

I must see this majestic plane one day! If it wasn't for that major tragedy a few years ago, I'm sure the Concorde would still be in flight where it belongs! Great portrait with vivid colours & sharp details!

Well done & TFS

Another great aviation picture John. I like the clouds behind the nacel and the oveall composition and excellent sharpness. I keep saying I'll re-visit the Airport Park and see Concorde. Your picture definitely inspires me to do so!

Hi Sir John,

Sweeeeet, pity she's grounded, it's certainly was a beauty to see in the air.
I'm 43, turning 44 next month on the 19th. Anyhow, I was sisxteen, in the backyard, about to take a dive in the pool. I heard a sound that was not familiar, then, I looked up, and there she was, her belly directly over my head and what a cracking sound and site it was. I'll never forget her belly and her ass screaming out to me. What a babe.!!!

Lovely capture of my beauty, well composed.

Mike

How you captured this is realy good.Nice photo and colours View is good choice. TFS :-)
Rob

One of these concordes flew over my house a number of years ago.. I nearly died of FRIGHT !..I heard this thunderous noise.. and quickly went out the door to see the under belly of a concorde. WOW.. so fast.. I was standing there with my mouth open!!..Amazing machines.( I think there was more than one ?)

And nicely captured here John..great colour, just look at the green grass!

Cheers Matey
Dawn.

Hi John I wasn't quite as young as Mike when I caught my one and only glimpse of a Concorde. I was on my way to work, the traffic had stopped on the freeways and everyone was waiting for it to fly up the Swan River in Perth, Western Australia. I waited until I was at work and we all congregated on the roof top.

Excellent shot my friend, good detail and colour and well composed. TFS,
Dave

Many thanks for your comment on ‘Estuary Reflections I’

Hi John,
This is Concorde which the greatest commercial success. This one, in the museum makes to biggest money of all of the build supersonic commercial aircrafts. Very well capture with great composition against a lovely sky. Brings back god memories. I've seen (and heard :) this aircraft taking off at Heathrow when I was there with the KLM Cityhopper. Also made a walk-around on Schiphol airport when the Concorde visited this airport. One thing I still remember; the unbelievable small wheels of it. Enough 'small talk' from the Baron. Perfect capture my friend a joy for my eye ;)
Hans

what can i say

A cool one John!
Looks great...

I have been in the test-concorde that's in Duxford and I was amazed how small it actualy is! narrow path and narrow seats... felt a bit like being packed up like sardines in a tin can.

Anyway, I like your view here of some small and another large plane in the background.
Nice colorful image!
Cheers,
Anneke

very nice image of the great concorde. I like the POV in this image. the sharpness of the image is enhanced by the great colour of the sky.
very nice job!

Hi John,
Good colours and detail.
Excellent shot of a great machine my friend.
Regards,
Victor

again u have done a very good job

Hi John,

I agree, it will surelly hold it's place in aviation history. Too bad that it's end had to be in tragedy. I don't think his story will end, we'll surelly of a sequence in the near or far future. Can't go back in time...but it's surelly the way of the future. In the next century, this will remember as the father of supersonic passenger jet. Many will sure follow.

Nice shot you're presenting. Well composed image, giving all the emphasis on the plane nose, at mach2 you trully need needle point nose...))

Good exposure, and bright well saturated colors, they're also well balanced. Sharp and crisp image...Nice capture.
