Well, it's been a while since I last posted here - but hopefully you'll forgive me, and enjoy this shot!

Can anyone guess my technique? Tibi correctly guessed - painting with light!

As you've probably realised, it's a daffodil. In addition to the common name - they're also known by a variety of other names: Lent Lily, Easter Lily, Daffys and of course the Daffo-down-dilly.

This is one of the numerous cultivars that exist.

Tech:
Exposure should read 125 seconds, but there's no option for that ;)
ISO100, RAW converted with DPP
PS: Curves, sharpening, crop, noise reduction

Hi Adrian, Very pretty! Looks like a suspended lighting fixture. Colors are good and your pp work is effective. TFS. Danilo

Whatever technique you used, the result is fine. As the light comes from below, (supposing you did not rotate in PP), you probably used a small and weak light source like a flashlight.

Adrian
Lovely light on the daffodil. Good light technique - the flower seems to float.

Hi Adrian,

This is a nice composition. I like the different POV and the good lighting. TFS.

I have always wanted to try this painting with light. Maybe I ought to give it a try. I like the effects of the lighting and the black background. Did you you a torch for this?

I love what you did here, this painting with light. Wouldn't that be a good theme for entries?

Your note was helpful, too.
