A very curious member of the Highland cattle species.
Highland cattle are an ancient Scottish breed of cattle with long horns and shaggy pelts. Groups of cattle are generally called herds, a group of highlands is known as a fold. The breed is affectionately known as "shaggy coos" or "hairy coos" in parts of Scotland, perhaps after too many single malts... |

Hello Chris,
Nice photo of this lovely animal!
Just face to face! Good perspective!
I also have highland-photo at TE, if you want, have a look at it!
TFS!
Best wishes,
Marci

Scruffy beast eh! No wonder you were attracted to it ;-) L
Hi Chris,
You have to love those shaggy koeien, don't you. And if she starts talking to you, well then it becomes irresistable.
It's only once in a while that I indulge myself by having a great single malt - but the best place to enjoy them would be (sorry) Scotland.
Have a nice day.
Els

Hi Chris,
What a very pleasant capture of this cow, I like it :-)
They are funny and beautiful at the same time.
And under that big hair I can see a little bit of eye-contact :-)
Great shot, thanks for sharing!
Greetings, Nel
