[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is typical moor land grass on the top of a hill in the Peak district. This was all there was growing up there, the earth was just peat, (black soil), so its pH levels probably don't suit most plants.
Tech: Small USM.

Attractive and very sharp shot! The framing is perfect, it let us imagine what we possibly see here.
Especially from the thumbnail. It could be a close up of some hair of a beloved, or the fur of a pet, of some modern carpet... :o)
So thank you for the note too Bryan.

Lovely simple waves of grass. Like an ocean on land Bryan, or mabye a desert of grass. It has a very soft look. I feel like i want to sit down an just touch the grass, lie down for a minute or two and stair at the sky. It's very peacfull in my mind.

At first I thought you were using a barber shop floor to create an abstract moorish environment:-)....but I see this is the real thing and it very nice how you have displayed this wavy terrain before the greening period.Well done Bryan.

This makes for a wonderful abstract shot. Looks like hair to me! Anyway, compo is wonderful here, but I would have also liked to see this in a B&W version. Maybe the B&W (or some for of duotone) would make the shot even more interesting. Well done!

Fantastic texture Bryan! I like the sharpness, the light and the various shades of the earthy colour. Great imagination too ;-D !

Wow, I thought it was hair, too! Lovely tonal range and details on this moor landscape with all the small undulations. I guess in these brownish color setting a shot like this works even better than if everything were green. Well seen, Bryan.

Je ne vais pas dire que ça ressemble à la chevelure de ma dulcinée !
Cette composition est parfaite avec cette lumière qui donne du relief à l'image.

I will not say that that looks like the hairs of my girl!
This composition is perfect with this light which gives relief to the image.

so smooth and beautiful, Bryan.
from the thumbnail i thought it was the fur of a dog.
i like the sharpness you achieved and the subtle tones of colors here.
beautiful.

Nice natural texture. It could be also a macro of an animal fur... :-) Thanks for the note! Without it, I would have missed the real subject that is more interesting!

A very original shot, Bryan. The texture and detail are excellent. The wavy effect, really does look like hair. Well seen and framed.

The details on this moorland is phenomenal, so sharp and clear. It could almost be mistaken for fur on an animal. I like the way you have framed the whole photo with the grass. Very creative. Love the movement that shows through it. Very well done.

It looks like my hair before I have lost it, Bryan..
Amazing texture, so sharp. I like the fact that there is no way to estimate the scale. Very creative.

Very exciting and interesting textures. I think this really captures the essence of this place, Bryan. I enjoy this image a lot.

the texture are great, repetitive lines and goldie light creates pleasent feeling.
I read some book about moor people and their land, sound great :-)

Nice photo Bryan. It's grass but they seem like hair. Well done.
