[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This shot was taken at Mill Pond, Langstone, near my home town of Portsmouth, the swan was not happy about my presence and raised it's wings to let me know I was not welcome (it's that time of the year again).
It was just after sunrise and the light had turned to that buttery colour, the reeds behind the swan took on a lovely golden glow.
The Langstone Mill has a checkered history, it was once used to signal smugglers, Langstone and nearby Emsworth were notorious haunts of smugglers.

Excellent capture! This is really nice.
Light and sharpness are both superb, and your placement of the swan within the frame is very strong, teamed with the reflection it makes this a fantastic shot.
Not easy metering for a white bird in sunlight, but I think you've handled all the levels well!

The light is simply wonderful - it's as if the swan is looking in her very own mirror.
No smugglers boat in sight - you had enough on your hands with the unhappy swan - they can be used as guard-animals.
This picture has it all.
