Hi All,

As you can see, I'm Back! with loads of shots from my recent holiday in Cornwall. Hope your all keeping ok my friends.

Here I am showing a shot from an evening at Pendeen Lighthouse, The light was all but gone here when the sun decided to put in a final appearance on the horizon :) so I was glad I waited around for a while.

Hi Sir John,

Nicely captured and well done on the composition.
An increase in exposure in the midtones will greatly improve on the overall view.

Mike

Hi John,
Harmony, thst how I would call this excellent picture. The lines of the beacon are parallel to the horizon. The colours are perfect even like the lighting, stunning my friend. And Cornwall for holliday! :) hope you've had a great time John; wonderful landscapes looking forward to more postings which gives great memories.
Hans

Hello Johnny O

I like the way the balcony on the tower aligns with the horizon, John... was that deliberate? I like the sky in the more saturated version, but the white of the tower has changed and that's not so good. IMO you should increase saturation on part of the picture only. I also think Mike's got a point about the midtone levels...
Anyway, nice to see this lovely view. TFS

Hi John and welcome back!

A beautiful composition of the lighthouse and vivid/warm colours on the horizon!

Nice & moody. (^_^)

A lovely composition here John, nice light too, you were wise to wait a little. I like the boat/ship frame right, it points up the scale nicely.
I look forward to seeing more of your Cornwall pictures.
Best wishes
Bill

Many thanks for your comment on ‘Little Dove I’

Hello John,
The contrast in this shot is very good, I like the composition especially the positioning of the boat which breaks up the sea in that area. The light on the horizon was certainly worth waiting for.
The overall tone of the image portrays that time just before the light goes really well.
Regards, Roger.

Very good composition. The horizon is nice and straight. The lighting is excellent. Well done.

Hello John!

Great to see you back! With loads of great shots to come (^_^).
Great start with this unique sunset. Cool ambiance. I took the liberty to add it in the Lighthouses theme.
Cheers!
Robert

Hi John,

Wonderful visual, as I would like to have some of these in my city, here we just have signs in the middle of the ocean.
As taste of them!
The colours are perfect even like the lighting, stunning my friend.
Congratulations

:)

Great composition and I like the muted tone of the white - they offset the bright horizon extremely well and really emphasize that twlight feeling.
Thanks for sharing
Mark
