I couldn't resist taking a shot of this rusty box,a remnant of the railway that used to run along this way.The path is where the railway used to run.
I was fascinated by the moss that had begun to grow on it.This is in Millers dale, near Tideswell in Derbyshire.
The car park is at the disused station. |

Hi Jean, your photos are inspiring me. They are all great! I love this one, it has so much to say. I love the colours and tones on the rusty box. You have a perfect exposure with great colours. Wonderful perspective.

Hi Jean,
The square picture format suits this square object. One might be tempted to increase the saturation here, but I think the quiet tones are good as they are.
Regards
Peter.
Hi Jean,
I had a look at all your other photos as well. This is an interesting shot. It has strong elements. The shape and form of the box, the mosy lip, the leafy twig. The box is almost too strong as it overshadows the composition. Making it a main element at a third in a larger crop would give better balance. The central (one your attention is drawn to) element should not compete with the other elements. Offset it with milder background elements.
Technically all your photos work - work on the composition and they will have even greater appeal.
