[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is one of my favourite photos taken on my recent European trip! This one comes from Scotland.
The monumant in the distance is the William Wallace Monument, and the barrel used in the foreground is that of a cannon positioned at the famous Stirling Castle.
Sir William Wallace (c. 1270–1305) was a knight and Scottish patriot who led a resistance to the English occupation of Scotland during the Wars of Scottish Independence. He was immortalised in the 1995 film "Braveheart", where he was portrayed by Mel Gibson.
The Wallace National Monument (generally known as the Wallace Monument) is a tower standing on the summit of Abbey Craig, a hilltop near Stirling in Scotland.
Completed in 1869 to the designs of architect John Thomas Rochead, the monument is a 220 foot sandstone tower, built in the Victorian Gothic style. It is from there Wallace was said to have watched the gathering of the army of English king Edward I, just before the Battle of Stirling Bridge.

Tell me what you all think of the pic!

It's a great pic, you could really do some damage to the William Wallace monument with this cannon!!!! I like the blurred foreground and the natural framing with the battlements left and right.

Nice shot and a really good POV, I really like the Stirling area and you have captured a famous landmark very well. Nice composition and colours

Nice one! Interesting point of view and some history behind it as well (and in front of it). Nice composure, I like that you have managed to squeeze in the walls on the left and right, makes things interesting. Keep up the good work!
