I was driving through the back roads of Crosby one misty morning late March 2007.
I had spotted this pond as I drove passed, I stopped and walked back to take some photographs with my mobile phone camera.
I was drawn by the contrast of the overhanging trees against the "Green pea soup" of algae on the water.
The pond had been cleared out in the spring of “92” but since then has been neglected, sadly there are some old car tyres and pallets dumped in the water to the left, just out of shot. |

Hi Paul,
This is an interesting shot. I like the shapes of the trees in this and the colour of the "soup" looks really natural. Amazing to think you could capture this with a phone camera!
I think I'll stick to the country vegetable for my lunch though, cos I'm not sure how appetising this recipe looks!
Regards
Nigel
