It has been a long time since I've posted a picture on Trek Lens. A quick recap on what has happened since I last posted. Well I was still working at SMX meetings, and done my first in February this year. Only to cut my eye ball somehow, and since February I haven't been able to use my camera until my eye healed.
Finally, I got back to the motocross track with my camaera.
This shot was taken at a new track. Only built during the week before the meeting. A glorious sunny day in deepest Hampshire and nice warm weather. The track snakes it way through a tiny corner of Elvetham Forest in Hampshire. On my return to motocross photography, I decided to return back to the RAW settings on my Canon 350D thinking I could have a play with the images when I got home and uploaded them.
So this is one that caught my eye. Timed just right to catch the bike and rider in full leap from the small jump. Rider looking into the lens, and I hope he is smiling too, because I am with this picture!
Basic PP work;
Opened RAW file
Converted to B&W
Added an orange filter
Converted to JPEG (via ZoomBrowser)
Resized the jpeg in Photoshop

Daniel, great shot, works really well in B&W, good feeling of motion on this despite fast shutter.
TFS, Neil.
Great capture of this dirtbiker.I still believe this much better in colored version:)
Well Done.

Very nice raw (pun intended) action shot! :) Just love it. Thanks Francis
Great composition on this shot. The bike and rider are perfectly positioned in the frame. Details and exposure are both very good. Nice work!
Hi there!
Excellent action shot - really top class.
Composition is prefect and the rider is nicely in focus.
Well done!
PS - Wonder if it wouldnt have been better in colour though....?
Nice catch in the air.
Maybe leaving the biker in colour would look nicer.
