Among the greenery I noticed the remains of this tree as I was driving by.
We have had lots of rain but the sun came through at last this evening. Everything is beautiful and colourful.
Some pp work carried out, levels, saturation cropping.
Your thoughts on this are appreciated.... |

Hi Philippa - I think this is a great spot, very well seen and a good idea for a photo.
Plus points: the idea, the stump dominating the lower left area and contrasting well with the gree foliage, the bluebells nicely breaking up the green and adding interest and also the bare twig coming into frame on the left.
Suggestions: maybe zoom out a wee bit as maybe the stump is a little too dominant, and also maybe the focus should be more on the stump than on the leaves...the stump isnt as sharp as i'd like.
But all in all it's a very pleasant and well constructed shot, I think.

Hi Philippa
it is sad to see this scene, but it is the reality, here we suffered with the deforestation of centennial trees in the Amazonian. Very sad!
Beautiful visual, every green east enchants. a lot of life here
