This picture shows the Natural History Museum in Cromwell Rd, London (close to the Victoria & Albert Museum). The cathedral-like building was designed by Alfred Waterhouse using Victorian building techniques, back then considered revolutionary. It is built on an iron and steel framework concealed behind arches and columns, richly decorated with sculptures of plants & animals. The Museum was opened in 1881 and its exhibits tackle fundamental issues, such as the origin of species and how human beings evolved.
PP work: removed a construction crane from the background between the towers and the sky; resized. |

Hi Barb: I really like the lines in this photo. The tree top on the top right and the lamp and tree on the bottom left make a wonderful diagonal that leads my eye to the twin towers and holds my eye there .. I like that in a photo ....very crisp focus on this one as well.... Thanks ....Roman

Hi Barbara,
Superb POV, excellent sharpness and great colours! Also the composition with the leaves in the right upper corner makes it very attractive. Well seen, my compliments.
