Hello,

Yet again, London. My favourite metropolis. I love big cities, there's so much to do, so much to see around, you'll never get bored.

Spent there 10yrs of my life, mostly while growing up into adulthood (teen yrs and such), and this was my first visit back to London since Dec 2002. Thought it would feel strange after those few years of absence, but just felt normal, like @ home ;-).

==================

As for the photo itself, well it came out just right, one correction that had to be done was darkening/adding some kind of contrasting by using Blending function (multiply) @ opacity 80%.
Oh yeah, not forgetting small cropping from right and bottom.

This gave me nice tonal colours and contrasts here.

At a latter stage liquified certain parts of the wheel to make it look like a "Ride from Hell", or "A ride of your life".

Tip:
It was much easier to use "liquify tool" on a smaller res. photo (i.e. 600x800) than the full one.
The wheel wasn't broken at all ;-), it's just a figure of my imagination.

Take care guys, and stay tuned for some more uploads.
PS. have a look at my WS for the original one.

Tom

========================

London Eye facts and figures (quoted from Wikipedia.org, the free Internet encyclopedia):

"The London Eye, also known as the Millennium Wheel, is an observation wheel that completed construction in 1999 and opened to the public in March, 2000, and was the largest observation wheel in the world until the opening of The Star of Nanchang in May, 2006 (the record will in turn be broken by the Singapore Flyer in early 2008 when it becomes operational). The London Eye stands 135 metres (443 feet) high on the western end of Jubilee Gardens, on the South Bank of the River Thames in Lambeth, London, England, between Westminster and Hungerford Bridges."
