Hello again,

London Eye, well actually one of its capsules. With a partial view at London's Westminster.

As mentioned below each capsule can take up to 25 people, but if it's not busy, max 10 they will let in, to avoid congestion.

As you can see the view from the top can be marvelous, provided you have a good and clear weather.

We were pretty lucky to have at least this moderate overcasted sky, visibility was pretty good - only downsides of taking photos from the capsules were dirty and deformed windows.

As a matter of fact I was hoping to meet some TrekLensers inside the neighbouring capsules, and maybe even seeing myself on their shots uploaded here on TL - LOL - what a coincidence it would be. Well you never know.

Once pasengers leave the capsules, London Eye's staff thoroughly and carefully check the cabins for any unattended baggage - that's for security reasons of course.

=================================

London Eye facts and figures (quoted from Wikipedia.org, the Internet's free encyclopedia):

"...the wheel carries 32 sealed and air-conditioned passenger capsules attached to its external circumference. Each capsule holds approximately 25 people. It rotates at 0.26 metres (0.85 feet) per second (about 0.9 km/h or 0.5 mph) so that one revolution takes about 30 minutes. The wheel does not usually stop to take on passengers: the rotation rate is so slow that they can easily walk on and off the moving capsules at ground level. It is..."

hi Thomas,
fascinating POV of this very popular attraction in London.
Picture is clear and shows the typical overcast character/colour of the English sky.

Well done.
Best regards, Daniel
