Hello everyone,

London, Trafalgar Square, Nelson's Column...

Quoted fromWikipedia.org
"The column was built between 1840 and 1843 to commemorate Admiral Horatio Nelson's death at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. The 5.5 m (18 ft) statue of Nelson stands on top of a 46 m (151 ft) granite column. The statue faces south, towards the Palace of Westminster and along Pall Mall, where his ships are represented on the top of each flagpole."

Trafalgar Square "is a square in London, that commemorates the Battle of Trafalgar (1805), a British naval victory of the Napoleonic Wars. The original name was to have been "King William the Fourth's Square", but George Ledwell Taylor suggested the name "Trafalgar Square"."

===================================

This is one of the most visited places by tourists, it has a nice fountain, lots of friendly pigeons around which do sit either on your head or hands, eating bird seeds or rice (rice I think it was).

The monument is surrounded and guarded by four lions. They're pretty huge, but still people love to climp on them and have their favourite photo taken.

===================================

The photo was originally taken in colour, desaturated, added contrast, reduces brightness, framed and signed.

ISO 400

This photograph would be one of the last ones from London. Have a lot more, but after careful consideration and thought, came into a conclusion that the remaining ones are not good enough for posting.

Nice captured and good note.
Yes Tom - that was very good idea to desaturated that picture - this way it look more historical:)
