[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I suppose most photographers have tried photographing water splashes at some point and I'm no exception. It's great fun and through the hundreds of photos you take, some look ok.

This shot was taken in a washing up bowl filled with water and dyed blue with food colouring. I used my macro lens set to manual focus and tried to drop water at the right point. It would have been nice to get a faster shutter speed but 1/250 is the quickest my flash unit can sync at.

It just let the impression that we can wear a water ring or diadem! colors are sweet and details is excellent!

I wouldn't worry too much about faster shutter.. you seemed to have nailed this one. Excellent timing and composition. These splash photos often tend to place the splash dead center. Your choice for slightly off center was a good one. Well done!

Hello Paul. Excellent contribution to the T.L. water drops collection. The use of the food dye further enhances. If it keeps raining the way it is is could be plagerizing the dye idea tomorrow.

I've tried many times to capture water drops but still haven't got the hang of it yet. I like your idea of adding food colouring to the water as well. nice crisp colours and excellent framing.

Well it may be a commonly-photographed event but you've done it exceptionally well, with flair and creativity Paul.
Great detail, good lighting, and great idea to use the coloured water. Beautifully smooth tones.
