Good morning my friends
So then today’s posting is the answer to yesterdays little brain teaser. I was impressed to see how many people guessed correctly. Just a little fun really.

The reason I wanted to photograph this car was two fold really, firstly being a girly I have to admit I just love the colour. Secondly I adore the shapes and lines.
Hmm well if truth be known there is a third reason, my boyfriend has spent the morning polishing it and we had a discussion about the fact that the front wing has at some stage been re sprayed and not a very good job was made of it. I told him that if I tool a photograph it would probably show up better in contrast to the rest of the car. Sure enough if you look to the side you will see it’s near mirror finish and yet the front wing by the badge has been sprayed with an orange peel type finish. Not really visible when you look at the car but the photograph really makes it clear.
So now I opened a right can of worms as he wants to re spray it. In addition to this we actually had quite a joke yesterday as there were a couple of tiny stone chips on the bonnet which I cloned out in yesterday’s image. When my boyfriend returned yesterday my son told him I had sorted out the stone chips on the cars bonnet,
He went straight outside in a panic thinking I had done this to the car… when what my son really meant was the picture….. Oh well we couldn’t find it in our hearts to tell him and let him walk outside to check while we sat indoors and chuckled.
Yes I know it was that wicked little sense of humour again.
Alls well that ends well though as he did see the funny side of it and was really pleased with the pictures I had taken.
So today’s picture was again taken without a tripod and rather rushed as I didn’t want the neighbours watching me and gossiping. This is probably the reason the whole of the image is not in focus as I could not hold the camera steady enough to zoom in from the distance. I am not too worried about this though as my main point was to show the badge and the mirror finish on the side of the car so technically I am not really happy with the shot but it does serve its purpose.
Resized and framed for upload.
Must get on now as again I was in to work at stupid o’clock with much to do.
Have a great day my friends
TTFN Helen

I like this a lot - using refelctive surfaces to get those slightly distorted but still yet visible images is wonderful - and such "in your face" colour - well done - keep up the good work.

hi, helen
fine car, if you like cars... i prefer bikes, and mostly those types which are not so demanding about the reflectiveness of their dye and eat the road even if there's some mud... well, a matter of taste, I guess. I wouldn't spend my time polishing metallic beings...
regards,
cal

Hi Helen ;)
wonderful macro and reflection...my compliments,
Have a nice day,
J ;)

Hi Helen,
Well your BF sure looks after his car well, the reflection on the side looks like a mural, fancy worrying the poor guy over the paint chips hehe.
Nice image and a good bit of fun reading some of the guesses yesterday, I like to give the neighbours somthin to gossip about especially when I am hangin out of the bedroom window with the 500mm looking at birds nests LOL.
Take care Tfs Andy

Very good morning to you too, Helen.
I was 'afraid' for that.! lol
Its a good looking cat, thats for sure. Is it a 3.o liter engine ?
Sure you boyfriend spend many hours to keep it best looking.
Tell him to drive carefull. Especially when you are besides him.
Have a fast working day.

Hi Helen,

I love this car. Simple but powerful and elegant!
Is this car parked on the park? Great shot you've taken, with reflection to show surrounding.

Tfs,
Tjutjut

Hi Helen,
Cars are normally not my favorite objects, but in this case with the reflections it becomes interesting. You chose a perfect POV and the shining of the car and it refelctiuons in it makes irt an attractive image. Great colour balance. The square presentation works fine here. Compliments for the idee and the very nice bote!
Hans

Hi Helen,
Very nice auto details and reflections.Congrats!!
Best Wishes,
Deniz:)

Yes Helen, great POV and the overall effect is excellent, I must get out there with the polish!!!
TFS, (glad I was right yesterday at guesswork!)
Neil
p.s. - 'orange peel' is a classic effect of respray, a couple of hours polishing with T-cut will smooth it, tell your BF you can get it in all sorts of colours, there will be one laced with blue - it'll work!

What a story - be careful Helen - don't come between man and his car!! Tell him I think it is a bad spray job!! Yes, it must be done again!!
I've just got a new car. Make??? it's a dark grey. And it gets me from A to B and back again...

Hello Helen,
your mind is always working, and this mirror using a car is really genial. The most wonderful result is the representation of the right colors: the grass is green, the buildings red and the sky blue. Impressive!
Could you lend me your boyfriend the next time I have to wash my car...?
Have a nice day,
Violetta

:) :) Later

me gusta. sabes buscar mas allá de lo real en una captura.

muy interesante tu vision.

Felicidades!

Hello again !
Answer to previous post ! (^_^) Bravo to have captured well the reflections on the side with the well known logo.

One recommendation here: I know it is pretty difficult to take shots of cars without having any other cars or people around . As your frame is pretty tight, it would have been better IMHO to clone the other distractive car in the BG .

I love the contrasts, perspective and your POV!
Well done!
Robert

Hi Helen,
