[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This fellow came up to me to tell me about the red tailed squirel he had seen a few times running around the tree and the bee that would dance for him. He seemed both very educated and very stoned. I asked him his name and he replied, "I am French!" So, French it is then!

Great portrait. something different from what we see usually.I like the tilted position of his head and the "happy" look on his face - stoned or not.

nice and warm portrait work! well performed in BW.

the comment above is a bit impolite and narrow-minded, though. this should be moderated, i guess.

Very very good portrait! Like thecomposition very much. Your choice of BW enhances the mood of this shot. DOF is perfect.

You have caught a very nochalant and care-free expression of French's face. A wonderful candid shot. B/W suits this happy moment. Well taken.

French looks very happy with life. He has an engaging face and you did a good job capturing his expression!

There are many interpretations of this expression, wich makes it a very rich portrait. According to how you see it, it can be nonchalance... joking... superiority... or charming expressions. Therefore, it's a real good catch, natural, even if this guy seems to be temporarily on another planet. Well done, Dan.

i'm not shure, but it's seem than this man is "Manita de Plata" the guitarist of flamenco leaving in south of france, near Mtpellier

I've seen this picture a large number of times in the TL home screen. And it deserves to be there. Well done, Dan. As Nina said, he really looks happy.
I gave up taking slides a long time ago. It's always such a big fuss to get to see them...

He he...well done. Very good black and white result. Good subjet. Interesting note too.

Very funny! I like how you captured his expression (as well as his mental state) perfectly. Thanks for sharing!

at first i couldnt tell whether the man was laughing or crying, good facial expression.

the use of black and white, the contrast between the shadow and light and the positioning, is awesome!

good job!
